The ICT progress that we have witnessed in the last decade has forced governments and companies worldwide to adopt the digital alternative as the ultimate way to achieve the development at both economic and social levels.
The world has become more and more hyper connected with the emergence of many new trends, like: cloud computing, Big Data, Open Data, Internet of Things (IoT), Virtual Reality…etc.
Since the role of Arab ICT Organization (AICTO) revolves around the exchange and share of knowledge in the ICT field between its members from the Arab region and with the potential stakeholders worldwide while keeping up with the digital transformation and innovation, and in order to strengthen the interregional connections and joint work, the first High Level « Arab-African e-trust forum » has been scheduled.
The Arab ICT Organization is organizing this high level Interregional forum under the high patronage of HE/Dr. Ahmed Mohammed Salem Al-Futaisi, Minister of Transport & Communications – Sultanate of Oman, in partnership with the Omani Information Technology Authority (ITA) and in close collaboration with the International Telecommunications Union (ITU), the African Telecommunication Union (ATU) and the National Digital Certification Agency – Tunisia, within the scope of its Strategy 2017-2020 and Action Plan for 2017, namely its regional project : « Arab-African e-Certification Authorities Network » (AAECA-Net).
